50s TV Classics (2012) – By Jason S. Lockard

I was born in 1978, but I love the old 50s TV shows and when I received the 3 disk set of 50s TV Classics in the mail needless to say I was like a kid on Christmas morning. This set is more or less a hodge-podge of episodes. It has comedy, music, westerns, kids shows and game shows. So it has something for the whole family.

Film Chest brought together some of the biggest shows of the 50s in this collection. You get episodes featuring Milton Berle, Lawrence Welk, Bob Hope, Ed Wynn Show and Red Skelton just to name a few. Let’s take a look at what you are getting on this DVD set!

DISC 1:

The Bob Hope Show

The Chevy Show With Dinah Shore & Art Carney

The Ed Wynn Show with guest stars The Three Stooges

The Paul Winchell & Jerry Mahoney Show

DISC 2:

Death Valley Days: Sego Lilies

Death Valley Days: Little Washington

Death Valley Days: Dear Teacher

The Lawrence Welk Show

The Milton Berle Show

DISC 3:

Beat the Clock

Do You Trust Your Wife?

Name That Tune

The Red Skelton Show: Deadeye and the Indians

In the final analysis the video has it’s flaws, but what do you expect from tv shows that are almost 60 years old. The amount of entertainment you receive in this collection is well worth the price in my humble opinion. So if you are a fan of The "Golden Age" of television" I highly suggest you head over to www.filmchestmediagroup.com for more details on how to get your copy of this awesome collection of 50s TV entertainment.
