Things that we do and see affect us throughout our lives, whether we acknowledge them or not. That’s (sort of) the premise of a new short from Tre Manchester called A Land Between.
Set during the Civil War, this is basically the story of a Grandfather who, on his deathbed, tells his Grandson the story of him losing his brother. It’s a bit confusing as to why the events that are going on are happening, but that’s about like a real memory isn’t it? We know that his brother was killed, that he witnessed it and that he’s held the guilt with him his whole life.
A Land Between is a story about that land between life and death; this man is traversing between life and death and reconciling his life. It’s an interesting short that captures something that we don’t really get in today’s world. I’m giving A Land Between 3 out of 4 cigars, it’s not perfect, but it’s still an interesting short that will have you thinking back on your life and what you’ll be thinking about as it comes to a close!
