Aberration (2012) – By Jason S. Lockard

Ghost stories have been around probably since the dawn of man! It seems our obsession with the other side will never go away, so thus we continue to tell stories and film makers continue to make movies about ghosts. Well, Image Entertainment’s new release ‘Aberration’ is just such a film.

Christy Dawson (Gwendolyn Garver) seems like a normal high school student, but she is plagued by terrifying visions. Suddenly a ghostly boy begins to appear in these visions reality become hard to distinguish as everyone around her is dropping like flies. The kid leads her to clues as to who is behind these murders. Will this bring an end to her visions? You will have to watch the film to find out.

I had high hopes for this horror film, probably I set the bar to high. I expected the best ghost film ever and this fell short of my expectations. Does that mean this film is bad! No! The characters are interesting and the story is good, but the acting fall a little short! There is a little too much adult language for me and the special effect were not mind blowing, but it’s not a bad little supernatural ghost story, just don’t expect ‘The Changeling’ (1980s movie).
