There's an old saying, be careful what you wish for, you just might get it. Well, that seems to be at the core of a new short by Kim Archer, Nothing to Where?

In this short (clocking in at less than 11 minutes) a young lady is daydreaming about a dress in an upscale shop window when the shopkeeper chases here off by yelling 'make a wish'. Well, she heads home and does just that, but realizes that the dress would end up controlling her. A tale told through dance as well as drama.

Nothing to Where? may be one of the most different shorts I've ever seen. It's not often that dance is used to forward the story in any movie, but to be used primarily is a very daring thing indeed, and Archer pulls it off...with help from her dancer/choreographer, we understand that the clothes don't make the person, and if we let fashion become all, it controls you! This is a nice little movie, and one that you might enjoy too, I'm giving it three and a half out of four cigars, because, while it's not my personal cup of tea, I did enjoy it quite a bit.
