We've all been there, someone in line with us, or at the restaurant near us is on their cell phone, talking loudly about something entirely inappropriate and, while most of us try our best to ignore it and move on with our lives, Velvet Rhodes has put together a wonderful short film about these people and the things they do.

The Cell Phone is a pilot for a potential series about cell phone conversations. In a series of short vignettes, The Cell Phone covers everything from the inappropriate to the bizarre conversations people have standing right in public. With the first short, an elevator conversation that seems to be about one thing, but then turns into quite another, The Cell Phone hits the nail right on the head! Then it moves to wrong numbers, weirdoes with cell phones, there's even a brief glimpse of Superman on his cell phone!

I can see this becoming a wonderful series, even if this short is a bit uneven at times, the potential is obvious and the comic possibilities are endless! I'm giving The Cell Phone three and a half out of four cigars, just because it’s not perfect, some of the jokes hit the mark perfectly, while others fall a bit flat!
