One Minutes (2008) - By Brian Morton

Posted on Tuesday, July 01 @ Mountain Daylight Time by Duane

I've seen so many short films that I probably couldn't count them all. In fact, I love short films, there's something about a well made short film that can beat a mediocre feature any time. Well, I just got the chance to check out a feature that's actually a bunch of short films, called One Minutes, and it's the best of both worlds.

One Minutes is actually a series of one minute movies of every genre imaginable, each one better than the last. I could take the time and name them off one by one, but that would take way too much time and, frankly, take away your enjoyment of this cool movie. I will tell you that there are silent movies, horror movies, love stories, genre pics, sequels, franchise movies, you name it and it's in here. My personal favorite is Hell In The Library, which spawns several sequels through the course of the movie, and, like all these one minute movies, each is better than the last!

Writer/director Philip Pugh has put together an amazing thing here, each one minute movie is a perfect little movie. I can't imagine the hard work that went into this movie, but the passion and enjoyment of both cast and crew is all right there on the screen. I'm giving One Minutes four out of four cigars, it may be the perfect movie, it definitely has something for everyone, it's a movie that I can't recommend highly enough! You can find out more about One Minutes by heading over to the One Minutes MySpace page. I'll say it again, if you have the opportunity, see this movie!!! So, until next time, when I'll be trying to run the movie slowly enough to enjoy the one second movies that are in there too, remember that the best movies are bad movies.
