Sometimes a movie is just a movie, they say, but sometimes a movie seems to be one thing until you think about it for a while, and then it becomes something deeper. That's the kind of movie that Angle Connell's Stocking Stuffers is.A short (clocking in at less than 8 minutes), Stocking Stuffers is a two part movie. Part 1 deals with a couple on a date, the man want what most men want after a date, while the woman plays coy. The second part is a series of comedic panty hose commercials. In the first, the couple talks about dessert, while clearly meaning something entirely different, while the commercials are filled with double entendre as well.
On the surface these are amusing comedic little movies, but upon reflection, both mini-shorts are a glimpse into our collective psyches. How the vision of a woman's legs can be used as both a sexual object and a sales tool. I'm giving Stocking Stuffers 3 out of 4 cigars, it's not for everyone, but it's entertaining and thought-provoking.
