We all get so wrapped in ourselves that, sometimes, it's sometimes hard to think of others in our lives, much less the downtrodden and forgotten homeless people out there among us. Little Beth Productions is bringing the story a bit closer to home with, The Forgotten Ones, a story of a young man and his father who find themselves homeless through no fault of their own.

Alex and his dad are living on the streets, and are travelling looking for Alex's mother. During their travels, Alex meets Kelly, a homeless girl and they have an instant connection. Kelly knows that something deeper is bothering Alex, but also knows that the more she pries, the less Alex will be willing to share. As the story unfolds, we discover that Kelly feels that she deserves to be on the streets and wants to help others more than herself. When all is said and done, we learn that helping yourself may be the first step in helping others and that there's no shame in asking for that help.

The Forgotten Ones is one of the best indie dramas I've ever seen...bar none!! The acting is top notch, everyone here is believable and great, but the real stars of the movie are Turrand Evans-Roskos as Alex and Hunter Evans-Roskos as Kelly, Turrand makes Alex a likeable, yet vulnerable character and Hunter’s Kelly has a quiet strength that one would expect from a young girl who’d spent some time living on their own, both actors are amazing and should be commended for these excellent performances! I’m giving The Forgotten Ones four out of four cigars, I’m not ordinarily a ‘drama guy’, but when a movie can suck me in and make me really want to see these characters win, it’s really firing on all cylinders!
