I have to hand it to Retro-Seduction Cinema, they find the most obscure movies that probably once played on 42nd Street and bring them back from the dead for all of us to enjoy. And, it's always like a little glimpse into history, seeing these low budget movies from the 70s, and this Joe Sarno double feature is no exception to that rule!

Both these features from 1975 play more like soap operas than 'skin flicks', in Abigail Lesley is Back in Town, a woman returns to a small town and stirs up the locals with her 'wild ways'. It seems that good old Abigail has slept with everyone in town...and wants to do so again!!! In Laura's Toys, an archeologist, his partner and his wife are doing some work, when the archeologist's wife catches him in a 'compromising position' with his partner, she calls some old friends to seduce the partner...with sexy results!

If you're getting the idea that these are mostly excuses to see topless girls in unusual situations, then you're mostly right. What sets these movies apart from today’s 'skin-amax' fare, is both the time and the writing. Seeing people dressed in actual 70s attire is not unlike looking at cavemen who thought they were cool....I mean, polyester leisure suits?!?! Really?!?! And the writing here is actually pretty good, especially with Abigail Lesley, Lesley plays more like a sexed up Peyton Place more than a sex movie...although there's enough sex to satisfy you fans out there! I'm giving this double disc 3 out of 4 cigars, it's not perfect, but Abigail Lesley is Back in Town will draw you into the story...even if it does run on a little long.
