My Life in Subtitles (2007) - By Duane L. Martin

What you say and what you're thinking are often two different things. Such is the premise of My Life in Subtitles, in which a man wakes up one day to suddenly find that all the stuff he's thinking after he says stuff suddenly appears as subtitles in front of him for everyone to see. As you can imagine, this causes him no end of trouble and embarrassment.
Director Danny Grossman stars as David Kessler, the man with the subtitles, and gives yet another brilliant and hilarious performance. The poor guy gets in trouble with his wife and his neighbor, he's fired from his job, beaten up, and all manner of ill...stuff happens to him. Finally at the end, things seem to work out ok when he finds a new girl to love. Let's just say, they're a perfect match.
There's really not a lot to say about this film. It's a simple concept brilliantly executed in a hilarious way. The acting is extremely good and you really feel sorry for the main character and all he's suffering through.
The production quality is excellent. Danny Grossman is a natural film maker and an equally excellent actor who really understand comedy and comedic timing. And yes, I know this is a short review, but it doesn't need much more said about it. This is simply a fantastic film and I'm telling you right now...see it. You won't be sorry.
