Little Boy (2007) - By Brian Morton
Posted on Thursday, May 01 @ Mountain Daylight Time by Duane
Sometimes a filmmaker finds an angle to a story that you would never have thought of in a million years. That's what Frank Mosley has done with his new short film, Little Boy.
Little Boy is basically a one act play that contrasts the birth of a child with the birth of the first atomic bomb, and, while that might sound like two things that don't really go together, you'd be surprised. One man, gets two calls, one from the hospital telling him that he's the father of a boy, the other is from his boss, telling him that the atomic bomb program known as 'Little Boy' has been given the green light by the government.
This is an intelligently written movie that juxtaposes two things that are diametrically opposed to each other, birth and death. Mr. Mosley has crafted a movie that's really more of a one act play that's an interesting morality tale. Little Boy is worth four out of four cigars, it's a movie that takes things that you'd never connect and puts them together seamlessly!
