Film Reviews: ROT: Reunion of Terror (2010) - By Brian Morton
Posted on Sunday, January 31, 2010 @ 23:05:00 Mountain Standard Time by Duane

When you see that Reunion of Terror is the tale of a group of people, who went to high school together, who are lured into a cabin in the woods by someone who begins killing them off one by one…you’d probably think that this is just another mindless slasher movie. Well, you’d definitely be wrong!

Reunion of Terror begins like your typical 80s slasher, two hot chicks head out to do a little camping in the woods, only to find themselves suddenly attacked by a psycho, then another group of people head out into the same woods…so you’d expect the same thing, right? Well, that’s where you’d be wrong. You see, ROT takes just enough of the slasher genre to keep you guessing, but when the killer is finally revealed, it’s a shocker.

Reunion of Terror is the perfect 80s slasher, it delivers on the shocks and the gore (the gore to a lesser extent…this is a low budgeter after all), but it doesn’t forget that the key to those great slasher movies was the mystery behind the killer and the reveal at the end. ROT makes the ending of the best part of the movie, when the killer is revealed, it shocks and surprises, and then it takes the movie to a whole new level. I’m giving ROT: Reunion of Terror four out of four cigars, it’s exactly what those classic slasher movies always were…good! You can find out more and get a copy for yourself by heading over to the Shock O Rama web site.
