Film Reviews: The Dead Hour (2010) - By Brian Morton
Posted on Wednesday, February 02, 2011 @ 00:14:25 Mountain Standard Time by Duane

Ordinarily a web series is something that doesn't do much for me. After all, I have a hard time remembering where I've been on the web, so going back for the next episode is something that easily slips my mind. Well, Daniel Iske and Scott Coleman might have found a way to get me to come back for more episodes...and I say that because I went thought the 5 that are posted in record time! The series is called The Dead Hour and it's amazing...and free!

Each webisode is introduced by a seductive DJ, DJ Raven. She sets up the story and then we're drawn in...much like Rod Serling introduced Twilight Zone episodes...only sexier. Each episode is completely different and follows a different theme. The first episode, Donor, will hook you and make you want to see what these filmmakers are going to do next. The story involves a man whose lost his job and begins selling parts of himself to make ends meet! It's creepy and it resonates with today's economic issues.

Each of the following episodes follow similar paths, but with different horrors. There's the tale of the addict vampire, the man who becomes obsessed with a serial killer who might be burying body parts in his back yard, a post-apocalyptic scenario where people begin to eat each other and there's even a Cougar that wants a little more from her young companions!

The Dead Hour is a true descendant of The Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits. Every episode has great acting an amazing story and will make you want more...you'll see when you head over to http://www.thedeadhour.com, and you'll mark this as a favorite to see where this great team takes us next! I'm giving The Dead Hour 4 out of 4 cigars; it's amazing and a site that I'll definitely be checking in on again and again.
