Best of the ICW: Volume 2 (1978-84) – By Jason S. Lockard

International Championship Wrestling was considered the “outlaw” promotion, because it was not a member of the world-wide juggernaut of the National Wrestling Alliance and ran shows against the territories. ICW was run by Angelo Poffo, and Angelo used the promotion to get his sons over in the business. Randy Savage and Lanny Poffo traded the heavyweight championship back and forth over it’s 6 year run.

Jadat Sports brings us some of the best matches, promos and interviews in ICW history. This volume includes stars such as Randy Savage, The legendary Sheik, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Bob Orton Jr., Rip Rodgers, Ox Baker, Lanny Poffo, Miss Elizabeth, and many more. There are 17 exciting matches!

This over 2 hour program featuring a heavyweight championship matches between Randy Savage and Thunderbolt Patterson as well as a Southwest title match between Ronnie Garvin and Rick Star and the standout match is the Cage match between Randy Savage and Jerry “The King” Lawler. There is also a bonus music video of ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage featuring the song “Fame”.

This DVD looks back at some of the best matches and promos in ICW history. The video quality are a little less the spectacular and the audio from the different videos change from loud to soft. While it is disappointing, it is also it is a little bit shorter than previous releases from Jadat Sports.
