Betty Boop Volume 1 (1933-1936) – By Jason S. Lockard

We have gotten so used to computer animation that we forget about the animation from yesteryear. Where artists sat at a board and drew scene after scene to make a five minute short cartoon. The characters in these film were enthralling! Just such a character was Betty Boop!

Betty Boop is one of the most endearing, adorable and funny cartoon characters of all time. Legend Films have released Volume 1 of Betty Boop short cartoons from 1933 to 1936. Some of the best cartoons in this collection are; "Betty Boop’s Ker Choo", "Betty in Blunderland", "Betty Boop in No! No! A Thousand Times No!!" and "Betty Boop and Pudgy in We Did It!" While these are some of the best in my opinion they all have charm and are fun to watch.

This DVD includes 22 Black and White cartoons featuring Betty Boop, than the bonus features includes two bonus animated shorts. 1932’s "In My Merry Oldsmobile" and "Finding His Voice" a silent from 1929. This is a great collection for cartoon lovers.

So if you love classic cartoons of yesteryear as much as me this is one you have to own. Head over to and pick up a copy today!
