Bewitched Season 5 and 6 (2015) – By Jason S. Lockard

Television in the sixties seemed to be taken over by the sci-fi/horror comedies. The Munsters, The Addams family, My favorite martian and one such tv series was about a witch. That series was called “Bewitched”. Now Mill Creek Entertainment has been releasing the series on DVD and now the next DVD set has been released Season 5 and 6.

Bewitched followed a witch named Samantha who fell in love and married a mortal Darren much to the dismay of her mother Endora. Every time the Samantha’s comical family members showed up the laughter amped up! Our family loved the appearances of Aunt Clara and Uncle Arthur especially.

Anytime a series is on the air for many years the series will go through some minor changed. One of the biggest changes from season 5 and 6 was Darren. Darren went from being played by Dick York to Dick Sargent. Some liked it other didn’t, you can put me in the category of the latter, but the series is still a load of fun either way.
This 2 season set includes all 60 hilarious episodes. Some of the best were; Mirror Mirror on the Wall; Endora turns Darrin into the most conceited person on earth. Samantha fights city hall; Samantha gets involved in a fight against tearing down a neighborhood park for a supermarket.  ….And something makes four; Samantha gives birth to her second child and her father casts a spell to make sure that everyone sees the baby falls in love with him. Samantha’s secret is discovered; Samantha reveals to Phyllis that she’s a witch.

This 6 disc DVD set includes all of the episodes in season 5 and 6. Each episode is presented in full frame and really good audio and video quality. The DVD menu is easy to access. There is no bonus features, but your getting two full length season for under 15 dollars it’s an absolute steal! I highly suggest you head over to and pick up a copy today!
