Cassadaga (2011) – By Jason S. Lockard

Movie goers love a good scare, that’s why horror films are being churned out like butter. So when I got a chance to check out the newest DVD release from Archstone Distribution and Image Entertainment I jumped at the chance.

Cassadaga follows a devastated lady who is trying to cope with the death of her younger sister. Lily Morel than seeks solace at the spiritualist community of Cassadaga. But instead of closure, she find something else – the vengeful ghost of a murdered young woman. Lily races to unravel the mystery surrounding the woman’s death and comes face to face with a sadistic killer! Will she come out of this alive? You’ll have to watch the film to find out!

This movie is a gore hounds dream come true. To me these films that are filled with blood, gore and torture which is all the rage now are missing something; real intrigue. This film just felt to me like a voyeurism of violence and I didn’t find it fun at all!

So if you like independent horror films and you feel the more violent the better! Well, this one might be just up your alley. So head over to or your local DVD provider and get your copy today.
