Come Morning (2013) – By Brian Morton

Family feuds, we’ve all had them, whether it’s within the family or with another family, tensions can often run much hotter than they need to, often leading to unintended consequences. That’s the story (sort of) with the new movie from Fabled Motion Pictures, Come Morning.

The story here is about a grandfather and his grandson going hunting, a fairly common bonding experience in most parts of the country. The trouble starts when they accidentally shoot a trespassing neighbor, a neighbor they’ve had land disputes with in the past. So, grandpa is pretty sure that no one will believe this is an accident, so the decision is made to hide the body…and that’s where things begin to go wrong. One bad decision leads to another and soon grandpa and grandson are in the woods, after dark, in BIG trouble.

Giving too many details of Come Morning will only ruin this cool movie for you, so I won’t go there. Suffice it to say; while this is a very low key movie, it’s one of the most powerful dramas I’ve seen so far this year. The movie looks great, the acting is amazing and the story is powerful and believable all at the same time! I’m giving Come Morning 4 out of 4 cigars, it’s a movie that will stay with you for a while…and that’s a good thing! Find our more by heading over to
