The beautiful Scarlet Salem graces out pages this month!

Rogue Cinema Sleepover Girl - September 2007

Scarlet Salem

All About Scarlet:

Name: Scarlet Salem

Age: 25

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Some of my favorite things: My collection of old school and new horror movies!

Most people would be surprised to know that I: Have been in a great relationship for 6+ years!

Hobbies / special skills: Well, I like to bike, working out (5 nights a week), do just about anything outdoor, having horror movie marathons with friends (like Friday the 13th marathons-18 hours of Jason!), go to METAL concerts and be apart of them, I love to act in theatre productions, play with my 2 rabbits and cat, and work 40 hours a week on top of everything else (not a choice). I love cemeteries and doing photo-shoots in them as well as very old buildings and places.

Number of years acting / modeling: I have been modeling for just about one year and acting for a little less than a year……and I LOVE it all!! Keep it coming!

Favorite genre(s) and or film(s): My fav films of all time are of course horror. Some are but not limited to, all original: Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead (All Romero), Day of the Dead, Pet Semetary (Any Stephen King), Witchboard, Demon Wind, Dead Alive (Any Peter Jackson film), Sleepaway Camps (All), Cabin Fever (Any Eli Roth films), Evil Dead Trilogy, any Dario Argento, John Carpenter, Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert films, and the list goes on! I also love South Park, The Simpsons, The Munsters, Reno 911, Xena and Herculese. Need I say more?

Acting / modelling gigs that I'm the most proud of: I am proud of all of them, equally. They all are special to me in some way.

What I look for in a potential acting or modeling job: Well, I am very versatile and open to most anything. Because I am so new to the acting community, I want to venture out and try just about everything. I do prefer horror films, but I am willing to try others. Having fun is the key as well!! I love to have input on projects—modeling or acting. I am very creative and I can come up with anything on the spot!

Bio:
Independent actress/model Scarlet Salem is an artist who has many original & colorful facets expressed in her versatile field of work. First & foremost, her enthusiasm & passion for ‘The horror movie’ genre (both old & new) shines brightly with any role she is given.

New to the horror movie industry as of this year, Scarlet just recently completed her first film YOU’RE NEXT 3: PAJAMA PARTY MASSACRE (2007) which is a short film by NFTS Productions. She is already embarking on her second short horror film this fall. Other experience includes a cameo in Mike Etoll’s MUTILATED MOVIES (2007) & has appeared in two PAWN AMERICA commercials (2005/2006).

Growing up obsessed with undead things & gore, she starred in & produced many of her own independent horror films early on in high school with equally driven friends.

The other side of the field she is exceedingly passionate about is modeling. With her ability to transform into any genre, personality or theme, Scarlet’s vibrant features express loud, yet delicate wave lengths of modern art. She has been modeling for over a year now & has worked with some of Minnesota’s finest independent photographers.

Scarlet is increasingly keeping her self busy exploring different ventures in the film & photography industry. While gaining valuable experience with every project, her performance & vision of her goals seam to only solidify. Be sure to keep your eyes & ears out…….for Scarlet Salem just may bewitch your senses.
