Number of years acting / modeling: Acting: I have been acting since I was a toddler in community/church things. I started to pursue acting and modeling on a professional level when I was 17.

Acting / modelling gigs that I'm the most proud of: The film I am currently working on with Silent-But-Deadly-Productions, an all female production company I am part of with Rachel Grubb and Brooke Lemke. Rachel wrote the script, plays a lead role, and is directing. Brooke and I are acting as producers along with Rachel and also play major roles. I play Malea, a free spirited artist who hates technology, not much of a stretch, but she is such a great character. I am also coordinating wardrobe and makeup and helping in any other way I can.

What I look for in a potential acting or modeling job: Interesting characters/concepts and cheesy things that pay money.

Bio:
Heather D. Amos was reared in a small, conservative Iowa town where she always dreamt of becoming an actress. Even as a child she would write, direct, and act in plays that she and her classmates would perform. After being rejected by “Saved by the Bell: the New Class,” Heather nearly abandoned her dreams, but with encouragement form an ever supportive mother enrolled in a small, private college in North Dakota to study drama. While there she absorbed herself in the curriculum, which included acting, directing, producing, scriptwriting, and stage makeup. She also travelled extensively throughout the Dakotas and Midwest as part of various traveling drama teams. In 2002, Heather graduated with a B.A. in Drama and a desire to pursue a film career. In 2003, Heather moved to Minneapolis and hit the audition circuit. However, the audition process became so frustrating that she nearly abandoned her dreams for a career in the circus. She managed to get a few roles here and there in student films, music videos, independent features, but the qualities of the roles were inferior, or she was offered the same type of characters over and over. While Heather’s main passion is acting, she also plans to write and direct. Ultimately, she would like to see Silent-But-Deadly become a force to be reckoned with in the independent film world and one that inspires women and young girls to pursue careers in film.
