Dark Shadows #20 (2013) – By Jason S. Lockard

The comic book industry booming right now and with the advent of the internet it is easier than ever for people to publish comics. I was given the opportunity to view the newest release in the Dark Shadows series.

Dark Shadows first burst on the scene in a soap opera of the same name and follows the Collins family and the leader of the family Barnabas; who just happens to be a vampire.

Issue #20 deals with Barnabas Collins facing off with the darkest parts of his soul, in a war to change the dire fate of everyone in Collinwood. The artwork of this comic book is just amazing, the colors are beautiful, it just leaps off the page! However the coolest part for me was the fact that the artists made Barnabas and all the characters look like the characters we love in the TV series. One word awesome!

In the final analysis the talents of Francesco Francavilla, Mike Raicht and Nacho Tenorio make this 32 pages a winning story! For only $3.99 its time to jump headfirst into the world of Dark Shadows! Head over to www.dynamite.com and pick up a copy of Dark Shadows #20 its a page turner.
