Dead Genesis (2009) – By Jason S. Lockard

Zombies are all the rage! It seems everyone with a camera and a couple of friends want to make a zombie film! With all the zombie films out there very rarely do you find a ‘Night of the Living Dead’ or ‘The Walking Dead’.

Dead Genesis follows the world about seven months since the dead changed the world! Many are joining together for a ‘War on Dead’. Jillian Hurst, has set out to make a pro-war propaganda film to support the War on Dead. The world that we once knew is now controlled by the zombies. The War is told through the words of those that are living it!

Dead Genesis has the most disturbing introduction to a zombie film that I’ve ever scene, but the movie I feel just didn’t deliver like I hoped it would have. The DVD not only features a great quality version of the film, but also has a good amount of bonus features, including 2 commentaries, a featurette, behind the scenes footage, deleted scenes and bloopers.

While I didn’t find this greatly enjoyable, I know some people love anything zombies and if your one of those people you’ll want to add this one to your collection. For a little over 11 bucks you can add this one to your collection head on over to and pick up your copy today.
