Dennis the Menace Lights! Camera! Menace! (1989) – By Jason S. Lockard

Dennis the Menace was born on the pages of the newspaper by Hank Ketham. Dennis was immortalized in TV and movies and as a child I loved the 80s animated series of the little menace and his best friends’ adventures.

About five months ago Mill Creek Entertainment released Dennis the Menace Volume 1, collecting the first half of season one. Now Mill Creek releases a new collection this one entitled Dennis the Menace Lights! Camera! Menace!

This nostalgic collection could have been called volume 2 as it includes the final 32 twenty-two minute episodes of season one. In this collection features Dennis and his crew battling dragons, vampires and giant tomatoes. Dennis plays detective as Young Sherlock Dennis, he does karate, goes Hollywood and much much more.

This DVD is an absolute treasure for kids who grew up in the 80s to relive their childhood and they can even sit down with their kids now and relive the joy of Dennis all over again! The audio and video quality are great, the DVD menus are easy to access, and bonus features include three Umigo music videos.

So if you love those Dennis the menace cartoons, this is a must have DVD. Head over to or your local DVD store and pick up your copy today.
