Fatal Abortion (2010) – By Brian Morton

There’s something I’ve learned in all my years of watching horror movies, and that’s that if you threaten a child, an animal or a pregnant woman, you can bring most adults to their knees. There’s something built into our DNA that tells us that we need to protect the weak and the helpless, and horror filmmakers use that against us all! Well, a new short from Radek Michalik, Fatal Abortion, takes that primal fear and take it to a new level.

Kim is a pregnant woman who’s not happy with her life, her job isn’t that great and her husband seems to be stuck in a self pity party. And, just when things seem to be pretty bad, they manage to get worse! How? Well, I’d love to tell you, but you’ll just have to watch this cool indie short for yourself…and trust me, it has an ending that you’ll never forget!

I’m giving Fatal Abortion 4 out of 4 cigars, it’s short (clocking in at just over 5 minutes) but its 5 minutes that you won’t soon forget! The visuals are beautiful, the sound is stark and amazing and it’s just a well put together short. I’m eager to see what Radek will do next, with a bigger budget.
