Fear in the Night (1947) – By Jason S. Lockard

Murder mysteries! I love them! And when they are from the old days of Hollywood, even better. The problem is finding one I haven’t seen! Well, Film Chest media group has acomplished that when they sent me 1947’s Fear in the night! I couldn’t wait to check this one out!

The films follows a bank teller named Vince Grayson (DeForest Kelly who played Sr. McCoy in the original Star Trek series) who awakes from a nightmare in which he and an unknown woman murdered a man in a strange, mirrored room. Thankfully it was just a dream, or was it?! You’ll have to watch the film to find out!

I found out this film is Deforest Kelly’s screen debut! The film really is an interesting thrill ride! This film has been restored and looks and sounds beautiful! I really commend Film Chest media group for restoring this classic noir to great condition. The only downside in this release is no bonus features are found on this DVD, but hey a good film noir is hard to find.

So if you love film noirs, or you just love Deforest Kelly, you got to check this on out! I highly recommend you head over to www.SynergyEnt.com or your local DVD provider and find out how you can get your copy of this gem today!
