Fetish Dolls Die Laughing (2011) – By Brian Morton

What would actually happen if you were to die from laughter? That’s one of the questions posed by the off-beat horror movie from Kiss Of Death Productions, Fetish Dolls Die Laughing.

The premise is interesting, we’ve all heard of the ‘tickle monster’, but did you know there really is one?! And, he possesses people and uses their bodies to find women and tickle them to death for his twisted satisfaction. When Detective Greer English uncovers a series of killings that all seem bizarre, she becomes entangled with the ‘tickle monster’, who’s set out to tickle her to death before he’s caught.

Now, the premise, as I said, is an interesting one, the execution, however leaves a bit of something to be desired. The acting is all pretty good, the story has its moments, but the movie spends an inordinate amount of time on the fetish of foot tickling. At times, I felt like I was watching more of a fetish film than a horror movie, and that’s not a problem, but when you bill your movie as a horror film, I expect a bit more out of it.

I’m giving Fetish Dolls Die Laughing 2 out of 4 cigars, it’s an interesting movie for what it is, but if you’re expecting any real scares or thrills, then you’re going to be disappointed, if, however, you like to see cute girls get their feet tickled, then this is the movie for you!
