Finale (2010) – By Brian Morton

Indie horror movies usually involve zombies or slashers, and they tend to rely on (often bad) special effects. But, once in a while, I get one in my inbox that’s completely different…that’s the case with Finale, a new movie by John Michael Elfers.

When a mother finds her son dead from an apparent suicide, she begins to lose her grip on reality. She believes that it was a demon that killed her son and, soon, begins to believe that her daughter is next on the demon’s hit list!

To tell you too much more about Finale would give too much away, this is a complex story that leaves you wondering who’s who and who you can trust and who you can’t. You could fairly compare to Finale to some of the great supernatural movies of the 70s, Rosemary’s Baby, The Amityville Horror among them, the story starts as a mystery and then slowly builds to an amazing ending. If you’re a fan of truly great horror stories that don’t rely on gore or effects to get their point across, then Finale is definitely for you! I’m giving Finale 4 out of 4 cigars, it’s a movie that’s more than worth your time and money! You can find out more by heading over to
