Frank DanCoolo: Paranormal Drug Dealer (2010) – By Brian Morton

It’s not often that a movie leaves me speechless, but that’s exactly what happened at the end of Frank DanCoolo: Paranormal Drug Dealer!

I’ll try to explain this cool sci-fi movie, but it’s going to be hard.  Andrew W. Jones takes several genres and meshes them together, DanCoolo is part 40s noir drama, part sci-fi adventure and part psychedelic freak out!  A female reporter is on the trail of a ‘big story’, a story that her editor doesn’t think she’ll get, but she persists and soon finds Frank DanCoolo, a man who most believe to only be a legend.  When she meets Frank, he’s soon in battle with either monsters from another dimension…or monsters that are only in his mind, it’s hard to say.  Now, armed with her story, she heads back to her editor, only to find that he too is in cahoots with the monsters and it’s Frank DanCoolo to the rescue!

Frank DanCoolo: Paranormal Drug Dealer is one of the strangest things I’ve ever seen…and that’s a good thing!  Past live action, part cgi and part stop motion animation, this movie blends styles, genres and art to make a really cool little sci-fi action short!  I’m giving Frank DanCoolo: Paranormal Drug Dealer 3 out of 4 cigars, it’s a bit difficult at first, but stick with it, it’ll soon grow on you!  You can find out more about Frank DanCoolo: Paranormal Drug Dealer by heading over to
