Hahaha yeah. Guess any chance at you ever getting a top secret government clearance or anything just got shot to hell. I seem to recall asking you which one you were and you telling me because you thought I already knew. I didn't. I was so irritated by the show starting late and having all those problems that I wouldn't have even matched anything you said to a codename at that point.
Anyway, I discovered why the multicasting wasn't working. Apparently most routers on the internet aren't configured for it. It works fine on your local LAN, but the routers at the ISPs all over the net generally aren't configured for it and every router between you and the person listening would have to be configured for it for it to work. It's ridiculous that something that could save that much money and bandwidth for ISPs isn't taken advantage of.
Anyway, I've configured the server to try multicasting first whenever someone connects just on the off chance that it will work for them (which it won't generally, but oh well,) and if the multicasting don't work it'll automatically switch to unicasting so there won't be any more problems connecting. _________________ Duane L. The first time is always a learning experience. You have to admit that just when you thought the whole show was shot to hell, the next hour rolled around and a masterpiece was born.

Yeah, and I'm still unbelievably irritated that I forgot to start the archiving so I could save the show. God I could just kill myself for not doing that. Oh well. I'll just have to remember in the future to do it. Nothing I can do about it now. _________________ Duane L. Martin Webmaster - B-Movie Central Editor / Webmaster / Staff Writer - Rogue Cinema

Yeah I know. I feel horrible about it. It was strictly my fault for forgetting.
Thanks for the kind words though. I'm glad everyone seemed to enjoy it. _________________ Duane L. Martin Webmaster - B-Movie Central Editor / Webmaster / Staff Writer - Rogue Cinema
