Hello people. I was contacted by some Mexicans the other day plugging something called http://www.filmutea.com. Did anyone else get this email?

It was all in Spanish. If anyone else did get this email, and actually cares what it said, I've run it through an online translation engine. These are the rather broken and amusing contents of that email:

Sir / Madame:

You envio the present email for comunicarte that in Nov. 2005 we sent http://www.filmutea.com, a gratuitous Web that this becoming the greater community of professionals and independent artists of Cinema, TV, Theater and Musica. That you need for your project? Demand, it informs, aid, it announces, it shares, it finds... in filmutea. We already are but of 4500 in Spain ayudandonos ones mutually. Now we are also expanding the services to Mexico.

One of the filmutea principles is the following one: to be the first community centered in the demand. Asi, in order to offer services of quality, priority to announcements occurs as ' eq is needed. tecnico for...' instead of ' I offer myself for...'. filmutea tries to be the point of contact of the demands of eq. tecnico, eq artistico, locations, information, rooms, collaborator and much but.

filmutea tries to improve the approach towards these industries when putting in contact to the independent professionals and artists with the projects that interest to them. One cannot be done pelicula, a short one, documentary, announcement, play, disc, scale model, to organize a single concert or other; and for that reason, filmutea offers a series of gratuitous services in expansion, that they allow to obtain the aid that is needed and to share what it is had and what is known. Services available:

0 - Services qualified for Spain and Mexico. But paises soon.
1 - Daily bulletins - No longer tendras that to enter the forums to find what it interests to you. All the information arrived to you by email.
2 - CV for professionals and artists (personal card with photo)
3 - CV for actors (personal profile with photos (information different from the one from the card))
4 - URL individual - You can include your cardprofile in your emails so that it sees everybody it, be or nonusuary of filmutea. To see for example mio at the end of the email.
5 - Directory online - demas usuary can look for by several categorias and encontrarte.
6 - Search outpost - to look for the information that interests to you of previous bulletins.
7 - Your gratuitous logo in ours webs - the publicity in filmutea also is gratuitous, but one is based on an interchange of links/logo. For single it deberias to insert our logo in your Web, in the place that you create but advisable, and when this, we will insert yours in our paginas randomly, so that it sees everybody it. (I have enclosed our logo in this email in case it interests to you, but also you can find it in the Web).
the 8 - 10% discount in services - companies can publicitar their services in bulletins if they offer a 10% of discount minimo to the filmutea users.

filmutea is util for any related person or that it wants to work in the world of the Cinema, the TV, the Theater and the Musica in Spain - directors, actors, extras, producers, scriptwriters, agents, cinematografos, tecnicos equipment, sketchers, specialists in special effects, publishers, festivales, film commissions, televisions, schools, pointers, direction assistants, scene directors, escenografos, promoters, distributors, regidores of scene, discograficas, recording studios, engineers, arreglistas, singers, artists, dancers, musicos, managers, your and many but. Work can be obtained and be offered, collaborator, information, advice, to sell and to buy equipment, formacion, information on events, to learn, to debate the things that interest and much but.

We waited for verte in filmutea soon.

Thanks and until soon.

Yeah I got it. I wrote back to them and told them this was an english language site and that if they wanted to send me an english version of whatever it was that I'd be happy to post it. Never heard back from them. I guess they didn't understand my response because I never heard back from them.
