I really enjoyed it and have so far seen the movie four times. (Mostly because I've promised a variety of people that I'd see it with them.)

What I liked:
Lots of battles and impressive light-sabre fights.

Droids with personalities: All of the battle droids and other robotic characters in this film have actual personalities and made for some fun and interesting scenes.

A lot of loose ends are tied up nicely.

A shift from the rounder and more high tech ships and weaponry to the bulky box-like ones we see in the original trilogy.

What I didn't like:
The clunky dialogue and the massive scenery chewing caused way too much unintentional humor. Case in point, the scene where Mace Windu is about to end the future Emperor's life...... (note that I'm probably paraphrasing here....)
Mace Windu: "The evil rule of the Sith will never cast is shadow over us again! It's over...."
Palpatine/The Emperor/Darth Sidious: "NOOOOOOOOO! NOOOOOOO! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Ian McDormid (spelling?) really hams it up in this scene and I laughed until I cried every time I saw it. Also, if you see the film, note how often the Emperor's accent comes and goes.

General Grievous: Yet another underused character in the Star Wars universe.

Hayden Christensen as Anakin. Still whiny after all these years!

Natalie Portman...... somehow Lucas makes her look ugly once or twice. She's like totally like, a fashion victim from a galaxy far, far away..... as if..... (it actually hurt me deeply to type all that).

Overall it's a really enjoyable film and fun for the fans. But Lucas has infused this movie with so much cheese that it would definitely be at home on any number of b-movie review websites.

So does anyone else want to share their thoughts and opinions on George Lucas' latest cashcow? Razz

I thought is was the best of the three prequels. With that said, it seemed like George is a little too in love with the computer effects. The opening sequence was cool, but it felt more like something you'd see at a theme park ride than in a movie.

Also, I never noticed before, but I don't really care about these characters. In Episode I, when Liam Neeson got killed, the whole audience gasped! You really liked Qui Gon, and when Darth Maul killed him it was a little shocking. I didn't really feel any connection with any of the characters in either of the last two movies. They seemed more like they were more interested in how to get to the end of the story, not what comes between now and the end (if that makes sense).

But, it was a good movie, better than I expected, even with the cheesy dialogue! And you're exactly right, these fit in quite nicely with any B movie collection!

Have to say, overall, I enjoyed it. Same could be said for the rest of this new trilogy. I don't think it stands anywhere near the originals, but hey, it made my little nephew dress as Darth Vader for Halloween - Can't be all bad Wink
