unfortunately you are probably right, and i will over pay for a ticket to see it in the theater with a bunch of hormone raging preteens and teen ragers talking loudly and swapping spit even louder to realize that even though i couldnt hear or concentrate on 1/2 of the movie it was a waste of my 20$ and 2 hours of my life i will never get back....
*deep breath*
ok think im done ranting now! Evil or Very Mad

Here's what happened to me on my last trip to an expensive theater.

http://www.bmoviecentral.com/bmoviecentral/blog/?p=985

Fortunately, most of the time we go to the cheap theater. $3 each. Very Happy Hell, I can wait a month and a half or so for a movie to get to the cheap theater. I'm in no hurry. Smile

i hate it when people bring toddlers that cant sit still or be quiet to a movie i would actually want to concentreate on. i just think its plain rude! Evil or Very Mad

Yeah it is.

You're obviously doing a great job raising your kid though since you weaned them on vincent price. You just can't go wrong with that. Very Happy If I ever have a kid, I'm gonna raise them on silent films, vincent price, bela lugosi, steve reeves, Ed Wood, Ray Harryhausen and all the greats. Very Happy

Horror movie remakes have always puzzled me. I can see why the big rush to get comic books on-screen - regardless of quality, these movies SELL and we're talking big time. Look at the box office records Spiderman broke, for example. Yet horror movie remakes don't exactly light up the night sky with quality, AND they suck.

AND are more expensive to make than the indie horror movie flicks they replace.

Perhaps its a plot by THE MAN to drive us all insane.

Not looking forward to this one too much, haven't even seen the trailer or anything yet. Someone told me it looked like a zombie movie of all things Laughing

Perhaps a lot of the reason why there's so many re-makes is that maybe the horror genre is seeking a new direction. Until one is found, those suit-wearning mofos in Hollywood have to jam the genre-hole with something, so recycle what they've already got.

I may be wrong here, but I'm thinking the saturation of the market with shit slasher movies in the 80's did the damage. Sure there were classics, but lets be honest here - it was mainly shit. Then along comes Scream and gives the horror scene a much needed enema.

Perhaps what we need is a horror movie enema for the new millenium? Anyone any ideas on what that might be?
