Press Release: 'HIDE AND CREEP' TERRORIZES NETFLIX

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The locally produced horror comedy "Hide and Creep" has found a new audience at Netflix. The DVD was recently added to the roster of the national rent-by-mail DVD service.

"I've been a fan of and subscriber to Netflix for years," said co-director Chance Shirley. "I'm excited to have a wider audience see 'Hide and Creep' in the terror of their own living rooms."

The movie, named one of the "Indies to Watch Out for in 2005" by Film Threat magazine, stars Kyle Holman, Melissa Bush and Michael Shelton. The story focuses on a zombie attack on small-town Alabama and the numerous inconveniences it causes for residents and authorities alike.

Reviewer David Cornelius of eFilmCritic.com named "Hide and Creep" last year's "Best Direct-to-Video Film."

Birmingham-based independent film company Crewless Productions shot the film in 2004. Shirley and co-director Chuck Hartsell founded the company in 2001.

Netflix is the latest company to offer the DVD for rental, joining national retailers Blockbuster and Hollywood Video. The DVD is also available for purchase for $24.95 retail at online retailers Amazon.com and The Asylum (www.theasylum.cc/store).
