AWARD-WINNING NEW FRANKENSTEIN FILM RECEIVES
NATIONAL TV DEBUT THIS HALLOWEEN
"Cinema Insomnia" Showcases "Frankenstein Vs. The Creature From Blood Cove"
Los Angeles, CA -- Since its release last Halloween, the reputation of WILLIAM WINCKLER'S FRANKENSTEIN VS. THE CREATURE FROM BLOOD COVE has been steadily growing, with the picture's popularity (and DVD sales) skyrocketing when the adventure received "Best Feature Film" honors earlier this year at the 2006 World Horror Convention. Now audiences who have not yet experienced this acclaimed homage to vintage Universal-style horror films and old-fashioned Atomic Age 'creature features' can do so via the nationally syndicated TV movie program CINEMA INSOMNIA, hosted by the legendary Mr. Lobo. Over the weekend of October 28, 2006, the movie will be shown throughout the country as part of CINEMA INSOMNIA's HALLOWEEN HORROR EXTRAVAGANZA. Additional details are available at www.cinemainsomnia.com.
"As a kid I used to watch wonderful films like THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON, HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL and GODZILLA on late-night TV," recalls director William Winckler, who also wrote the screenplay and independently financed FRANKENSTEIN VS. THE CREATURE FROM BLOOD COVE. "Airing on CINEMA INSOMNIA will offer those fans of classic monster movies who haven't seen the picture a chance to take a nostalgic walk down 'monster memory lane.'"
WILLIAM WINCKLER'S FRANKENSTEIN VS. THE CREATURE FROM BLOOD COVE stars Larry Butler (The Janitor, Lost in the USA, Elvis is Alive) and includes special appearances by Butch Patrick (The Munsters), Lloyd Kaufman (The Toxic Avenger, Terror Firmer), Raven De La Croix (Russ Meyer's Up!, Hear No Evil), David Gerrold (Star Trek) and Cyberspace Adult Video Review (CAVR) Starlet of the Year Selena Silver. The tale takes place in a remote laboratory near the California coast, where a trio of scientists have resurrected Frankenstein's monster in a misguided attempt to use his colossal strength for good. As part of the same diabolical experiment, a half-human amphibian abomination has also been unleashed. Both creatures are determined to destroy one another, wreaking havoc throughout the isolated coastal community.
While the picture, which was produced through William Winckler Productions, Inc., will air in an edited format on CINEMA INSOMNIA, the unexpurgated version -- accompanied by numerous extras including a director's commentary track, "making of" featurette and the theatrical trailer -- remains available on DVD at Amazon.com and other online and brick-and-mortar retailers.
Details about CINEMA INSOMNIA are available via www.cinemainsomnia.com. Further information on WILLIAM WINCKLER'S FRANKENSTEIN VS. THE CREATURE FROM BLOOD COVE, William Winckler and William Winckler Productions, Inc. is available at www.williamwincklerproductions.com or perplexpr[at]sbcglobal.net. _________________ Jordan Garren
