It's finally happening. One of the greatest films from my childhood is getting a legit, 20th Anniversary DVD release later this year namely "The Monster Squad!" It's a film many of us cult movie fans (and children of the 80s) hold dear to our hearts. The Creature Corner and Bloody Disgusting have both reported on this but neither had any info on the disc's extra features (though a lot of extras are promised) or a release date. I'll post more about this as I receive news! (For those of you not familiar with the film, or just a little bit fuzzy on the details, read my review at the B-Movie Film Vault!) _________________ Jordan Garren

A release date is starting to take form. I got an e-mail from a visitor to my site that claims that the film is set for its DVD debut in OCTOBER! Also, star Andrew Gower (Shawn Crenshaw in the film) has utterly confirmed this news on his site saying that:
Quote:
The 20-year fight by the fans seems to have finally been won. LionsGate will release a 20th Anniversary DVD in October 2007. The DVD includes deleted scenes, interviews, and commentary from the gang including André!
Also, it appears that the DVD producers at LionsGate are planning on tinkering with the much beloved poster/VHS cover art that we're all familiar with. If this pisses you off, go to www.andre-gower.com and send in an e-mail to Andre' to SAY NO to new cover art! _________________ Jordan Garren
