First, remember that no one's actually getting hurt, and it's the law of the movies the worse the thing is that happens to you the worse the revenge is at the end of the movie! So, I don't mind sitting through the uncomfortable stuff, because I know that at the end the revenge that the gal gets is gonna be HUGE!!!!!!!! _________________ Remember what Dino DeLaurentis said when he was asked to add an 'after story' to his 70s remake of King Kong..."When Monkey Die, Everyone Cry, The End"
I don't care watching brutal scenes, with rapes, cannibalism, deaths and etc. It's even good, to see how many stupid people is outside and around us, and how far can a carazy person go.
Did anyone watched Cemetery Man ???
Italian horror master Michele Soavi (STAGE FRIGHT) directed this brilliantly bloody black comedy — also known as DELLAMORTE DELLAMORE — that Gore Score calls “a deliciously demented, delightfully surreal stew of sex, death, splatter, male-bonding, barfing, zombies and nothing less than the Ultimate Meaning of Life!”
I found some pretty cool clips of it on YouTube And now I'm just waiting for the dvd release, which is next week!
Death Wish and I Spit On Your Grave are two of my favorites! I won't let my wife watch I Spit though, it makes me uncomfortable, I'm not sure what a woman would think of it. Although her revenge is SWEET! Cannibal Holocaust just came out as a special edition, maybe I'll pick that one up.
I need to pick up that CH disc too. Big fan and having it in good quality WITH special features... it's something I have wanted for so long...
And I Spit... I really don't know what the general female opinion would be. I mean, SOME say it's a feminist film, but me, it's hard for me to see past the twenty minute rape sequence
FEMALE OPINION ON I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE: It very much is a feminist flick..esp the Lorena Bobbit scene.
I dont know what the big deal is all about. its so terribly directed, that it's actually kind of comedic IMO. Maybe I'm twisted.
My favorite scenes are toward the end, the knife in the back and chopping the guy up with the boat motor LOL
Talking about a sense of power!
Sad thing is that you probably know someone who has been raped but hasnt said anything about it. According to nat'l stats, less than 40% of those who go to the hospital to get checked out, go to the police to file a report
I wouldnt have even gone to the hospital had my boyfriend not insisted that I go.. and the same probably goes for many other women
I am very thankful I came across this list of flicks. I was raped a few months ago, buried it, now its creeping back up on me with panic attacks.
I have decided that I am going to watch rape flicks(i'm also looking into rape porn) to desensitize myself.
The only person I will ever allow to freak me out is me
