Rogue Cinema needs new writers!

We've actually needed some new writers for a while now, but with one of our main writers taking a couple of months off, we REALLY need to get a couple of new people up and running with us.

So, if you're a good writer with a proper command of the English language and either want to or already are into reviewing independent films, then please send an e-mail to Duane at editor@roguecinema.com and let me know if you're interested in writing for us. Please also include a sample of your writing skills with your mail. If you can do good interviews with people, that's a huge bonus as well. Must be able to follow our style guideline for submissions, which is available in the FAQ section of our site, and be VERY reliable. If you're sent a film, it needs to be reviewed and submitted for the following issue unless it arrives really late in the month, in which case it can go in the one after.

Now, writing for Rogue Cinema is unfortunately an unpaid gig. None of us make any money from it, and it's an all volunteer site. I wish it wasn't that way, but there you go. However, there are some benefits to it.

First, you will be sent movies to review, which you then get to keep in your personal collection. Second, you have the prestige of writing for an online publication that has been around for nearly five years now and has become a respected member of the indie community. You may even end up with quotes from your reviews on DVD covers, which does happen on occasion.

So if you or anyone you know would be interested in writing for us on a regular basis, please drop us a line and let us know.

Thanks everyone,
Duane
