NEWSFLASH: "THE BONESETTER" WREAKS HAVOC ON AUGUST!

Based on a real bit of Canadian folklore, Ottawa-based writer/director/star Brett Kelly has teamed with Splatter Rampage (a division of Tempe Video) to unleash THE BONESETTER for August 31, 2004 ($19.99 SRP, prebook August 6). AllHorrorMovies.com calls this moody thriller "extremely haunting…moving at a lightning pace, THE BONESETTER really never lets up."

Over a century ago, an evil bonesetter was slaughtered for his brutal crimes against children. Now in the present, the youngsters of a small rural town are vanishing without a trace. It’s up to a shy librarian and a determined mother to uncover whether or not the bonesetter is back to finish his depraved work! A suspense-filled shocker featuring Troma president and indie movie icon Lloyd Kaufman (The Toxic Avenger).

DVD BONUS FEATURES:
• Audio commentary by the writer/director/star Brett Kelly and co-star Anne-Marie Frigon
• Cast & crew interviews (22 mins.)
• Behind-the-scenes footage (11 mins.)
• Camera tests (10 mins.)
• Outtakes & bloopers (8 mins.)
• Sherry Thurig audition (5 mins.)
• Short film “Clowning Around” by Brett Kelly (6 mins.)
• Splatter Rampage DVD trailers

Available direct from Tempe or through our distribution partners.
Distributed by SPLATTER RAMPAGE (A Division of TEMPE DVD)

Maybe you'll be able to get a screener of that to review. Wink

Nah, they do a loaner program nowadays so basically I'd either have to pay half price for the film after I reviewed it or return it after a month or so. I only half agree with their program: I think people who write good, solid reviews of the films should be able to just keep the movies. If Tempe is still leery of doing this, they could have reviewers sign a contract of some sort, in order to halt webmasters from selling off their freebie discs on E-Bay or other online marketplace.
