W00T!!!
I almost picked up Dawn on DVD the other day when I was looking for something to buy, but it wasn't nowhere near as awesome as this release looks to be. I've wanted to see the Argento cut of the film since I read about it many years back. Looks like my opportunity is just around the corner. _________________ Josh Samford

DAAAAANG! That looks so boss it ought to be illegal, and matter of fact, I'm going to start lobbying to make it so!!!... or not! Anyhow, I need that like I need blood pumping in my body! Dawn is kind of a slow moving film, but for some reason, I nearly always feel in the mood to watch it. Of course, not owning a copy kind of makes it hard to catch it anytime I like, but this is why the 4-disc is going to PWN so much! _________________ Josh Samford

Nope, not September yet, we still have July and August to struggle through. This 4 Disc set will be worth it though. It'll definitely be a great set and worth any price and is probably the most love any one single film has ever received. Sure there's been two disc sets and the occasional three disc sets (movie, bonus disc, soundtrack) but 4 is unprecedented! Let's all make a pact to buy this DVD set when it comes out... and oh yeah, to lose our virginity by prom night! Who's with me?! _________________ Jordan Garren

Ahhh if you've seen one zombie movie you've seen them all. Now if you really want to see zombies, show your friends a Barbara Streisand movie and watch them change right before your eyes. _________________ Duane L. Martin Webmaster - B-Movie Central Editor / Webmaster / Staff Writer - Rogue Cinema

Disregarding Duane's stupid little comment above.....
The DVD of "Dawn of the Dead" (2004) has been pushed back from October 5th to October 19th! Thank god the release date for Anchor Bay's 4-Disc set of the original "Dawn" has remain unchanged. _________________ Jordan Garren

Maybe they just had better things to do like pressing 3 million new copies of Yentil or something... _________________ Duane L. Martin Webmaster - B-Movie Central Editor / Webmaster / Staff Writer - Rogue Cinema

I recently picked up this great 4 disc set and it's worth the money folks (I got mine for 27 bucks at Suncoast with a 20 dollar off certificate. For those not as lucky as myself you can pick up Dawn of the Dead: Ultimate Edition at Best Buy for $33.99). I haven't watched ALL three versions of the film yet, but I did go through the 4th disc. There's a great 72 minute documentar about the film that looks back at it's making. The entire cast is interviewed along with a very jovial George Romero (god damn, I'd love to meet the guy. He seems so grandfatherly!). Also included is the original "Document of the Dead," a 92- minute (!!) documentary shot during the filming of "Dawn." It really seems like we're in film student territory here, but it's well done and shows how laid back George and the gang were on the set. The last two features on the disc are "The Tour of Monroeville Mall" in which Ken Foree (YOU RULE KEN! YOU RUUUUULE!) gives a tour of the mall to "Dawn" fans with about a dozen "zombie" actors along for the ride. Not anything spectacular, but it's cool to see the "escalator zombie" and his friends reminisce with badass brotha man Ken! Lastly there's a reel of old on-set/behind the scenes footage. Truly this set is the definitive version of "Dawn" as it also has three other discs full of extras and includes the original theatrical cut of the film, the extended cut, and the European cut (done by Dario Argento, long time friend and collaborater of George Romero).
In all seriousness, if you even LIKE this film, you should own this DVD set!
I can't wait to see how Romero's "Land of the Dead" comes out!! _________________ Jordan Garren
