Just found out that Universal is working on Legacy Sets for three more of their old-fashioned monsters. These three sets are set for a tentative release on October 5th. Here's what they are working on:

THE CREATURE LEGACY:
Creature From the Black Lagoon
Revenge of the Creature
The Creature Walks Among Us

THE MUMMY LEGACY:
The Mummy
The Mummy's Hand
The Mummy's Tomb
The Mummy's Ghost
The Mummy's Curse

THE INVISIBLE MAN LEGACY:
The Invisible Man
The Invisible Man Returns
The Invisible Man's Revenge
The Invisible Woman
Invisible Agent

That's all there is right now, but I'm sure Universal will give each Monster set some great extras! I hope they have another boxset with mini-busts of these three monsters.... just hope the invisible man mini-bust isn't just a pair of shoulders without a head!) Wink Razz

I can't wait to get this one. They did a really nice job with the first box...minus the fact that poor packaging caused a lot of DVD's to be all scratched up when they got where they were going. I guess my original universal monsters box set won't be worth much now. Razz

yeah, I notice all those are in full frame. I hope that's the way they were shot originally and haven't been reduced down to that because that would really suck major donkey sack.

Well uh... didn't you notice that the first Legacy set had full screen transfers of all the films? I read a similar comment in a forum and someone noted that widescreen wasn't used much until the 1950's or so. Don't know how valid that statement was, but it seems like a good explanation. Razz

oh it was used. I'm just real touchy about companies releasing full screen versions of widescreen films.
