Hello everyone,
My name is Shawn Hunt and I'm a filmmaker from North Carolina. I've recently wrapped up a couple of short films and am gearing up to direct my first feature film, entitled "The Shrieking", which will be co-produced by Tony Urban of Crazy Ralph Films. I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you here. _________________ Shawn Hunt

Hey welcome Shawn! Congrats on making your first feature. That's really awesome. Have you released your short films somewhere where we can check them out? _________________ Duane L. Martin Webmaster - B-Movie Central Editor / Webmaster / Staff Writer - Rogue Cinema
Hey, what's up man. What part of N.C. are you from? I live in Raleigh right now but i'm thinking of going to school at UNCW in the future to study film. And The Wicker Man rules all! Gotta love that ending

Thanks everyone. I'm from Charlotte actually and am trying to find others in the Carolinas who are interested in making horror films here locally. We just finsihed wrapping up a short called "Midnight Snack" that I'm trying to get ready for a screening at Twisted Nightmare Weekend, as well as two other film festivals next month. I'll be making some screener copies available here within the next few weeks for anyone that might be interested.
"The Shrieking" is a script that I wrote which I would best describe as "Legend of Boggy Creek" meets "Hills Have Eyes". It's sort of a throwback to the drive in horror films of the 60's and 70's, my favorite period. I just finished casting it this week actually and have assembled a fantastic group of NYC stage actors with a lot of experience in horror films. So it's all very exciting to see it come together.
And yes, "The Wicker Man" is an awesome film. I'm a huge Christopher Lee fan myself.

Actually I'd like to be on the screener list. I've been trying to arrange with various people to get screeners for a while now. Just let me know where to send the info and I'd be happy to review your stuff for the magazine here. Can't guarantee I'll like it, but the review will be well written in any case and will include all the info on your site and where to pick up the films. _________________ Duane L. I'll be happy to send you a screener, though I should point out that this is only about 4 minutes long and was intended for AMC's Short Screamers this fall. The two screenings for it at this point are in Akron, OH for Twisted Nightmare Weekend and the Backwoods Film Festival in Charleston, WV _________________ Shawn Hunt

Awesome. You said you had more than one though didn't you? If you can put all your shorts onto one DVD I'd be happy to review them all in a single review. Sent me an e-mail and I'll send you back my address and what not. I'll do the reviews for the September issue. _________________ Duane L. Thanks for that Duane, that would be great! I'm having to bring in a sound editor for "Midnight Snack" so it may delay it a few more weeks. I'll keep you posted. _________________ Shawn Hunt
