Online streaming of Arizona's 1st ever Giant Monster Movie
Well, Sacrifice was not selected to be played during the 2011 San Diego Comicon... sad face...
Ok, we are over it, and we are ready to do something that might actually get more people to watch the movie anyway...
We are going to show it for free, all weekend, starting July 15th and going until July 17th...
AND, all that cool stuff we had gathered together to take to San Diego with us? The autographed posters, trading cards- I mean seriously, you know you want a set of trading cards- comics, and other fun? Oh we are going to give you ways to win that all weekend.
AND... for the first time ever, you will get to see a version of the movie with commentary by Director Bob Nelson and Lead Brent Heffron. This should be all kinds of interesting!
Anyway, we hope people are entertained, and they buy a DVD (there will be an easy to follow link right on the page), and we'll have a special link for autographed DVD's as well.
You should be able to watch when you want, anytime that weekend, that's the beauty of streaming, baby! Just gather round the 'ole desktop, laptop, or device capable of streaming Quicktime Video, and watch a fine piece of American made cinema... Plan a party, we are...
What do we need from you? Well, to tell everyone for Pete's sake, so we can bust our service provider bandwidth limits (shh, please don't tell them), and have a great Sacrifice weekend... oh and watch it, too.
And, of coarse, people will be able to drop messages on our forums, and link directly to the Amazon page to leave reviews, and it will be glorious!
Sacrifice, Arizona's first ever Giant Monster Movie filmed by director Bob Nelson, follows the adventures of a young Geologist (Brent Heffron: Hell on the Border) and his Anthropologist girlfriend (Shanda Munson: Revenge of the Titans, Ghostbreakers) and they stumble across a 500 year old secret buried in Southern Arizona, and must partner with the military to save everyone, and everthing, they love.
The movie, shot entirely in Phoenix and Casa Grande, reflects the bygone era of sci-fi giant monster movies. "There is a genuine storytelling innocence that became lost in the need to get bigger, gorier and scarier." So, the Sacrifice Free Viewing weekend was a success, over 100 people watched the movie, either through our own hosted Quicktime file or on YouTube. It could even be alot more as I read a YouTube message that says video counts are incorrect for alot of videos, but I am pretty happy with the amount os response.
If you missed it, it's still a great video rental for $1.99 at Amazon, which is a really great price, and it's a fun movie.
