Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989) – By Jason S. Lockard

Godzilla is a name synonymous with monster movies. There have been 28 Godzilla Japanese features. Now I have to be honest I haven’t seen every Godzilla movie like some people, but I know the character and Echo Bridge Entertainment sent me a copy of the Blu-Ray of #17 in the movie series Godzilla vs Biollante. I watched this one immediately!

The film is fairly simple to follow Dr. Shiragami has used some of Godzilla’s cells to genetically engineer a indestructible plant; the result is the huge Biollante! All is well and fine. Biollante is a peaceful plant, that is until Godzilla returns to Japan to wreak havoc. Than the fight is on! As with all Godzilla films the acting is never stellar, but the best part is the fight scenes and they are awesome in this one!

Now the blu-ray includes a beautifully mastered high definition copy of the film! You get the original Japanese audio track and a English dubbed audio track. The the bonus features include; The making of Godzilla vs Biollante and a behind the design feature.

This is one of those films that if your a Godzilla fan you have to have it and you can’t get a better copy than this, but if your looking for the best Godzilla film the original is the best in my opinion! So if your a fan of Godzilla by all means pick up this great Blu-ray! You can’t go wrong here! Head over to www.EchoBridgeEntertainment.com or your local DVD provider and get a copy today.
