Great Wrestling Tag Teams (1979-80) – By Jason S. Lockard

To be a great wrestling tag team you must work as one unit. Anticipating each other’s thoughts and moves and some of the greats in the history of wrestling were found in Memphis Wrestling.

This new release from Jadat Sports takes a look back at the great tag teams that came through the Memphis area, including The Assassins, Blonde Bombers, as well as tag team specialists, a young Ricky Morton, Bill Dundee,Tommy Gilbert as well as the great Jerry Lawler teaming with Koko B. Ware and Jimmy Valiant.

In this over 2 hour program we get 10 tag team matches, interviews and more. There is a lot of great action, but the standout in anything Memphis Wrestling of course is The King. Jerry Lawler was fun to listen to when he talks and mesmerizing when he wrestled in the ring.

The videos are a little less the spectacular. While it is disappointing, I think it is forgivable when you think these TV episodes are over 26 years old.

All in all this is a nice little collection for people who love tag team wrestling. So if you want to add this DVD to your collection head over to MVD Shop at: http://mvdshop.com/products/great-wrestling-tag-teams-of-1979-80-dvd and pick this one up today!
