Grow Up Already (2013) – By Michael E. Smith

Directed by Richard Keith, Grow Up Already is a ten-minute short film that has been making the Festival circuit and it will be screening on April 27th at the Charleston International Film Festival.

The film takes a very humorous look at the issue of cutting the apron strings of childhood and the consequences of your family not allowing you to grow up. Starring Johnny Simmons (Perks of Being a Wallflower), Odette Annable (House M.D.), Frances Fisher (Titanic), Ethan Suplee (My Name is Earl) and Jim O’Heir (Parks and Rec).

Keith’s short film looks great with superior production values and “spot-on” cinematography. The actors all play their prospective parts with the seriousness required to make this short comedy hum like a smooth engine. This extreme look at one “mans” inability to leave the nest is very funny and well paced.

After the film’s April 27th screening, it will be distributed by Indieflix.com and will be available on their website as well as Hulu, Roku, and XBOX live from the 30th of April.

If you cannot make the Charleston International Film Festival, here is the official trailer to wet your appetite for its upcoming distribution.
