Halloween H2O (1998) – By Jason S. Lockard

John Carpenter’s Halloween 1 & 2 movies are a staple on Halloween around the world. There is just nothing like seeing Michael Myers chase his little sister Laurie Strode around. Well, 20 years later the great Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her role as Laurie to try to end Michael Myers reign of terror once and for all! Echo Bridge Entertainment sent me a Blu-Ray of this release. I was ready for some Myers family fun.

Halloween H2O follows Laurie who after faking her death and changing her name is now a teacher at a private school. Divorced and with a son about the age she was when she was attacked. Laurie is extremely over-protective, but it’s for a good reason cause Michael is about to return again. This film is not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it is a good thrilling continuation of the Laurie Strode character.

Now about the blu-ray release. The audio and video are pretty good, but in my opinion not quite blu-ray quality and the bonus features well, there are none. While the film is a pretty good thriller no bonus features on a blu-ray kind of is a little bit of a downer, but it’s still Jamie Lee Curtis in a Halloween film so you go to love that!

So if your a fan of Jamie Lee Curtis and Halloween films this is one you need for your collection. And you can’t go wrong with $19.99 on Blu-ray or $6.99 on DVD. Head over to www.EchoBridgeEntertainment.com or your local DVD provider and get a copy today.
