Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) – By Jason S. Lockard

The Curse of Michael Myers is sixth installment in the Halloween franchise (when you include #3 Season the witch). In my opinion they should have stopped after the Halloween 1 and 2, but they decided to continue on and we got a lot of forgettable films. Thus was Halloween 6.

The film starts with Jamie (Michael Myer’s Niece) giving birth while in the midst of druids, with the help of a kind woman she escapes only to have Michael chase to her ultimate demise. End story? No! Michael then goes after a family who happen to be living in his former home.

This film to me feels like the producers said, "Hey let’s make another Halloween film and make money." The story is poor and the acting is not spectacular and even the great Donald Pleasence seems to be wishing he was anywhere but there.

Halloween The Curse of Michael Myers transfer is one of the best I’ve seen from Echo Bridge Entertainment the audio is a passable 2.0 Stereo, but sadly this Blu-ray has no bonus features whatsoever.

So if you love The Halloween franchise and you need #6 in the series. This blu-ray is only $19.99 and not a bad price. For those who have never seen it and are expecting Jamie Lee Curtis goodness; this is far from it. Head over to www.EchoBridgehe.com or your local DVD provider.
