Highway to Heaven Season 5 (1988-1989) – By Jason S. Lockard

Michael Landon and Victor French come together for the final season of the inspirational, sometimes funny and most times heart tugging series Highway to Heaven the fifth and final season. Now thanks to Mill Creek Entertainment you can complete your Highway to Heaven collection for an amazing price.

In this series Jonathan Smith, an angel sent down by God, aka “The Boss,” partners up with ex-Oakland cop Mark Gordon. They are assigned duties by “The Boss” in which they would help people see a better life, and sometimes help each other. This series works on so many levels. Sadly it only lasted five seasons and the fifth season was not given a full season it was only given 13 episodes, but what a great five seasons it was.

Some of the best episodes in the first two season included; Hello and Farwell 1 & 2: Jonathan helps Commander Michaels deal with flashbacks of Vietnam as well as try to convince her to go to therapy. The Silent Bell: A pastor must follow through with the church’s decision to fire most of the church school staff because they’re not Christian. It’s a dog’s life: Mark thinks God has turned Jonathan into a dog. Like that isn’t enough trouble he has to deal with a runaway kid and the his scatterbrained mother.

Just some of the guest stars in this season include; Ken Kercheval (Dallas), Matthew Perry (Friends), Mimi Kuzyk (The Day After Tomorrow), Dack Rambo (All My Children), Robert David Hall (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation), Lew Ayres (All Quiet on the Western Front) and Priscilla Barnes (Three’s Company). These are just some of the great guest stars.

This three disc DVD set includes all 13 season five episodes in really good audio and video quality. The DVD menus are easy to access! This is just a really great collection for the whole family to enjoy!

So if your love highway to heaven as much as I do! You gotta see the final season and at $14.98 that is a great deal. I highly recommend you head over to www.MillCreekEnt.com and find out how you can get your copy today!
