Hunt to Kill (2010) – By Brian Morton

I’ll be right up front about this; I’m a huge mark for Stone Cold Steve Austin. And if you don’t know what a mark is, check any online pro wrestling dictionary. Well, Austin is in a new movie from Anchor Bay, Hunt to Kill, and he’s doing what he does best…kicking ass & taking names!

Austin plays Jim Rhodes, a border patrol agent in Montana. Rhodes is trying to reconnect with his daughter, but things aren’t going too well, she’s been caught shoplifting and now, he’s got to meet with the sheriff to talk about his problem child.

The only issue is that a group of ruthless crooks have just rolled into town, hunting for a missing comrade, and they’re holding the sheriff and Rhodes’ daughter hostage! Now, Rhodes has to agree to lead this band of bad guys into the wilderness or have his daughter killed!

Hunt to Kill is your standard revenge/action movie. It’s exactly what you think it will be, Austin makes his trademark mean face and beats down the bad guys. The only issue I had with the movie was, toward the end, the premise gets stretched a bit thin, with Rhodes ‘finding’ a crossbow & making his own arrows for it, before heading down the vengeance trail.

I’m giving Hunt to Kill 3 out of 4 cigars, if you’re looking for something original or different, then don’t look here. But if you, too, are an Austin mark, then you’ll enjoy Hunt to Kill. Get your copy, or get a Stone Cold Stunner, over at
