Indiscretion (2013) – By Brian Morton

There’s a new thing (at least, I just learned about it), it’s called couch surfing and it’s a way for young college people to travel and save money on hotels. The problem I had with it was that you never know who you’re going to run in to, and what they might have in mind. That’s exactly the premise of a new movie from called Indiscretion.

Liz and James are a young couple who have their own home and are trying to save money to get married. They’re doing this be renting a room out to people who are travelling through town and want a cheaper place to stay. They’ve done it before without incident, so when Alessandro comes to town, visiting from Italy, it doesn’t seem to be a problem. But, soon, the two of them are feeling insecure. Alessandro is a handsome guy and Liz finds him attractive, while James senses that something isn’t quite right about Alessandro. It causes conflict between the two, and Alessandro makes it his business to make things worse. Things escalate until….well, you’ll have to see it for yourself.

Indiscretion is one of the best ‘roommate’ horror movies I’ve seen. Taking the premise of two women fighting over a man and flipping it on it’s head, and twisting it a bit, then giving it an ending that will make you wonder what the hell just happened, Indiscreation is one of the best horror movies of the year (so far).

I’m giving Indiscretion 4 out of 4 cigars, the actors are great, the writing and characterization is pitch perfect and the story will have you jumping out of your chair at the end! If you’ve ever had a stranger in your house, you’ll love this…and then never invite anyone in again! Find out more over at
